It seems whenever I even try to pick up mr. noodles precious camera from his video and film class I tend to get things like this yelled at me:
“No Ben you can’t use the camera”
“No Ben don’t try breaking the record for the longest airtime in the category of digital cameras”
“No Ben the camera is not an NHL licensed hockey stick”
“No Ben just because it says child proof dosen’t mean you can throw it at little kids without denting it”
“No Ben the camera is not machine washable”
The point of this post, when you know your friends are probably right just listen to them.
Or you might spend thursday night blow drying a dented camera
Quote of the day
If at first you don’t succed try try again….untill like the fifth time cause then you just look pathetic
Today we had a field trip to a high ropes course …. And I got assigned to the leap of faith with Twizzler. We had to jump from a fairly wobbly platform and grab onto a trapeze.
Once we got to the top of the platform we just wanted to get off. So as soon as we could we counted to three and jumped. I made it with two hands and Twizzler only with one(cause he likes to show off like that). As we hung there swinging we both yelled out the phrase most appropriate for the occasion:
LEEEEERRRRRROOOOOYYYYYY JJJJJJJEEEEEENNNNNNKKKKKKINNNNNNNSSSSSS
Mr. Noodles on the other was not as lucky. he couldn’t quite reach the trapeze and fell to his death…..so this is my site now
…..
just kidding he did miss and hit his head on the post which was pretty funny though
Ben
PS theres still gonna be a video coming soon (if Noodles dosn’t have a concussion that is)

I know this doesn’t really have to do much with filmmaking besides that macs are great for making movies, but, while searching for a mini-VGA to VGA adaptor on the apple.ca store, I noticed that the iPod video [#4 top seller] is being outsold by the MacBook [#2 top seller after the nano]. Considering the amount of iPods sold everyday and the profit of one MacBook [at LEAST $200], Apple is making more money than should legally be allowed.
Hey, Apple, how about helping us with that microphone, huh? It would be like less than a penny for you. Or Audio Technica could just send an ATR-55 our way. But they won’t. I can feel it.

Oh yeah, and a new episode of the Digital Films Podcast Should be recorded with Ben tomorrow. Depends on homework though. Stupid Homework. [”What would you do with a 3000 lb. chicken”? WHO CARES.
We’ve been away or a few weeks, [coudja tell?] and so I’m only getting around to posting this now, but about a month ago in Wired Magazine [The one with , Steven Colbert on the cover] had a how-to guide, which, among an amazing amount of other topic’s, includes “How To: Shoot Like Spielberg “ which, putting aside that I don’t even think Spielberg is that great, features a blurb from Kevin Smith.[!]
I do beleive that in the last episode of the podcast, we mentioned the issue of transitions. So did Kevin Smith. Or whoever wrote that bit of the article. But saying Kevin Smith said it sounds cooler.
“Nothing says amateur like a star wipe or cross fade. Though home video-editing software comes with loads of easy-to-insert transition effects, leave them alone. Plain cuts work best and don’t distract viewers.”
Looks like you just have to listen to the Digital Films Podcast to get great filmmaking tips. Whodathunkit.
By the way, we plan on getting a microphone. but they are not cheap. CAD$160 is not cheap to a student AND filmmaker [but not student filmmaker, there’s a distinction]. If you would care to help us purchase such wonderful sound gathering equipment as the Audio-Techinica ATR-55, please do donate to our PayPal. Shameless, we are.
P.S. - New show soon!
